Mercy ZB Zeanbo is a Liberian Geologist with over a decade of professional experience in mineral exploration, environmental research, and geological compliance monitoring. She currently serves as Director of Publicity at Women in Mining Liberia, where she champions gender inclusion and professional visibility for women in the extractive sector. Mercy has contributed her expertise to several national and international projects, including roles at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Hummingbird Resources Liberia, and the Chinese Aided National Exploration Project, where she supported detailed geological, geotechnical, and structural mapping, as well as environmental compliance and monitoring.
A graduate of the University of Liberia with a B.Sc. in Geology, Mercy is currently pursuing her MSc in Biodiversity and Climate Change at the University of Liberia. She has undertaken numerous advanced trainings with international geological institutions such as the Geological Survey of Sweden, PanAfGeo, British Geological Survey, and Yunnan Earthquake Agency, China, focusing on mine waste management, seismology, environmental management of mines, and geoscientific information systems.
Driven by a passion for sustainable resource management and women’s empowerment in science, Mercy brings technical expertise, leadership, and a collaborative spirit to every project she undertakes helping to strengthen Liberia’s environmental resilience and geological governance.
