Smith J. Saywaye Profile

Smith Jallah Saywaye is an Environmental Engineer and Geologist with over five years of experience in environmental consulting, project supervision, and geological research. He has built a strong track record in environmental impact assessments, and sustainable resource management, applying advanced data analytics, GIS, and remote sensing to support evidence-based decision-making.
Smith has contributed his expertise internationally, including at the Geological Survey of Slovenia (GeoZS), where he conducted environmental desk research, processed monitoring data, and produced technical reports for environmental management. In Liberia, he has led multidisciplinary projects as Project Supervisor at CENREC-Liberia through YONER-Liberia. His roles have consistently emphasized stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and community capacity building.


He holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Liberia and MSc in Environmental Engineering at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. In addition, he has earned a Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and specialized training in Monitoring & Evaluation. Smith is an alumnus of the EIT Raw Materials Academy and an active member of environmental and geoscience networks. Passionate about sustainable development and applied geoscience, he continues to advance his expertise in data-driven environmental engineering and geospatial analysis.
